Well the Rainbow Babies are growing up! Here they are at 16 weeks of age. You just aren't going to believe what happened. I looked at Crystal and saw some beautiful yellows and reds starting to show. Well female Panthers don't ever show much color and certainly not yellow. Well turns out that my female Crystal is really a MALE! And a beautiful one at that.
Crystal (Male)

Rainbow Females?
Next I looked at the two "males" and when compared with Crystal they sure look like females. Of course it's possible that one or both of them are just slow to develop but they both lack the size and bright colors of a male. At the moment I'm leaning towards female for both of them.
Either way, they are both real cuties. Aren't they growing quickly? The bodies have gone from about 1" at age 6 weeks to about 3" at 16 weeks. Compare the baby picture on the left to this picture taken August 22, 2002.

Well it's fall and time to move everyone inside. I really only have room for four Chameleons and as much as I would love to keep everyone, it's just not possible. I've decided to keep Tiger (The Chameleon on the left above). The Chameleon on the right has been sold to my friend Ruth who will take really good care of her. You can read more about Tiger's exploits here.
