While I was out of town for a week, Tiger was in the care of my family. Tiger was gravid but having some trouble laying her eggs. Tiger dug a number of holes but never laid her eggs. Finally she passed away.
An unfortunate problem with the automated watering system to her cage left Tiger badly dehydrated but necropsy results showed that she died egg bound as a result of a number of misshapen eggs which she could not hope to pass. She will be greatly missed.
The only positive thing to come from this event is that Tiger left several trays of eggs. None have hatched as of yet, but the eggs are fertile and hopefully some will hatch soon.
